WELCOME
... to the first edition of the Newsletter - an infrequent means of informing you of new developments. All new customers will automatically be subscribed or anyone can subscribe through the web site. The newsletter will arrive in your e-mail inbox in PDF format. If you no longer wish to receive the newsletter let us know either by replying to the e-mail or use the form on the web site. Wisdom Multimedia will never pass your information onto a third party. This edition brings you news of the new web site, and full details of a problem we have suffered with electronic mail. If this has caused you problems please accept our apologies. Wisdom Multimedia has also signed up to become a member of the Better Payment Practice.

NEW WEB SITE
When formed we operated a web site using Freeserve as our ISP. This allowed us to provide information over the web without it costing any money. There were, however, limitations in what could be provided and so we looked elsewhere. Recently we moved to a different ISP for web sites allowing us to provide much more functionality as well as having our own dedicated URL: www.wisdomedia.co.uk
All e-mail addresses have also been moved to this address. We hope that you have found an improvement in the site.
BETTER PAYMENT PRACTICE
Wisdom Multimedia has signed up to be members of the Better Payment Practice. We will still pay bills on time, (and expect customers to pay us on time), but by signing up we agree to abide by a written charter. For further details see their web site at: http://www.payontime.co.uk/
ELECTRONIC MAIL PROBLEMS
Over a three-week period in May it became apparent that there were intermittent faults with sending and receiving e-mails. The problem became worse with some e-mails taking three days to reach us, or not being delivered at all. Wisdom Multimedia and our ISP worked together to resolve this problem over a period of three days. All customers were contacted and advised of the problem via a backup e-mail system once the problem became known. It was finally identified as an intermittent DNS problem on the server resulting in the e-mail addresses being unknown. It was resolved by moving all account information to a new server. If, during May, you sent an e-mail to Wisdom Multimedia and have not received a reply then please send your message again. I am also pleased to report that none of the hosted web sites have suffered any downtime as a result of this problem. Apologies to everyone for any inconvenience caused and I assure you that we will continue to work with our suppliers to ensure that any future problems are resolved as quickly as possible, Colin Edwards, Wisdom Multimedia
